Food Pantry Manager

Chesapeake Care Clinic

Mission:  To provide medical and dental services to low-income and underserved individuals in our community.

Connection to Mission: The Food Pantry Manager will assist clinic staff in providing food assistance to individuals and families in need within our community.

Essential Duties:

• Assist with pickup of food items from local grocery store. Record temperature and weight of food items.
• Help organize and maintain inventory, including sorting, stocking, and rotating food items. Ensure donated foods are properly stored and labeled according to food and safety standards.
• Help maintain cleanliness and organization within the food pantry storage areas. Assist with cleaning shelves, sweeping floors, and disposing of expired items.

General Duties:

• Treat patients with respect and compassion
• Work collaboratively with volunteers and staff to fulfill the mission of the clinic
• Follow all policies and procedures and represent the clinic in a professional manner
• Maintain a clean workplace

Time Commitment:

• Mondays mornings, 2-4 hours a week
