Position Summary:

The Glacier Health and Development Center is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Psychiatrist to join our dedicated team of healthcare professionals. As a Psychiatrist or Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive mental health services to individuals of all ages. Your expertise and clinical knowledge will contribute to the well-being and improved quality of life for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments of individuals seeking mental health services.
  • Diagnose mental health disorders and develop comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications as necessary.
  • Provide ongoing medication management and follow-up care for clients.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated and holistic care.
  • Offer expert advice and guidance to other staff members regarding psychiatric matters.
  • Participate in case conferences and provide consultation to enhance treatment outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation and electronic health records.

Qualifications:

  • Valid medical license (for Psychiatrist) or advanced practice nursing license (for Psychiatric Mental HEalth Nurse Practitioner).
  • Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry or Psychiatric-Mental Health.
  • Demonstrated experience in psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
  • Strong knowledge of psychotropic medications and their potential side effects.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with clients, staff, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to professional ethics and standards.
