On its first night offering clinical services in October 1986 as The Free Medical Clinic of the Northern Shenandoah Valley, a team of volunteer medical professionals and community leaders (including our namesake, the late Dr. Terry Sinclair) treated 14 adults. In 2022, as Sinclair Health Clinic, we saw more than 2200 unique patients: an enrollment rate surpassing any in our history. And volunteers remain at the heart of our organization.

We offer primary care, behavioral health, physical therapy, women's health, occupational therapy, music therapy, community health, orthopedics, rheumatology, and other essential services to people who make up to 300% of the federal poverty level. People making less than 200% of the federal poverty level (FPL) pay $5 per visit if they can – we see them even if they can’t.  Additionally, in response to the medical appointment delays experienced by individuals in our service area who received Medicaid insurance coverage as part of the 2018 Virginia Medicaid expansion, we now accept all Virginia Medicaid MCOs.

In addition to general primary care, we offer several specialized services within the clinic, including mental health, women's health, full-term prenatal care, diabetes management, Hepatitis C treatment, and a professionally staffed on-site pharmacy.
