Shenandoah Community Health Clinic (originally Shenandoah County Free Clinic) offers high-quality medical care and was started by the community, for the community. Recognizing that many people couldn’t access desperately needed health services, community leaders decided to open a clinic in 2002. It was primarily staffed by volunteer doctors, nurses and clerical workers. Since that time, the federal government has declared that Shenandoah County is underserved for medical, dental and mental health services. There simply aren’t enough health professionals to serve this community’s population. With so much need, Shenandoah Community Health Clinic grew fast. Full-time operations became possible through employing paid staff members. They work with volunteers and a board of directors that represents many different facets of, and geographical locations within, the community.

Our Mission: Bridging gaps in healthcare, while providing access to a wide variety of essential services to the whole community.

Our Vision: Striving to be trusted by patients valued in the community, with services available to those in need.
