The Greene Care Clinic provides free health care and prescription support to uninsured residents of Greene County, VA between the ages of 19 and 64 who do not qualify for Medicaid and who make less than 300% of the Federal Poverty Level.  We are a 501(c)(3) organization founded in 2005.  Our services include treatment of acute health conditions, chronic illness care (e.g., diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, asthma), diabetes education, smoking cessation counseling, laboratory/diagnostic testing (in collaboration with UVA Health and Sentara Martha Jefferson), pharmacy services (in collaboration with Greene Pharmacy), care coordination and referrals to UVA and Sentara Martha Jefferson.  The clinic has three part-time paid staff, eight volunteer medical providers, and seven volunteer support staff.  The Greene Care Clinic is a member of the National Associations of Free Clinics and the Virginia Association of Free and Charitable Clinics.
