Description

The Free Clinic is looking for volunteer Pharmacists who can help us weekly, monthly, or quarterly and for as many hours as works for their schedule.  The Clinic has a simple volunteer application that includes a background check.  A copy of the pharmacist’s license is also required.

We need volunteers Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday’s from 9am-4pm and the first and third Thursdays of the month from 5-7pm.  There is flexibility, if a pharmacist is not available during these times.

The pharmacy uses Rx30 Software in our onsite pharmacy.  Medications are provided at no cost to our patients from RxPartnerships, which receives donations from five pharmaceutical companies.   We also purchase medications from Cardinal Health through the Minnesota Multi-State Contracting Alliance for Pharmacy (MMCAP).  There are no controlled substances on the premises or prescribed.

Volunteering at the Free Clinic is a way to earn CEU’s: “One hour of continuing education may be credited for three hours of providing such volunteer services, as documented by the health department or free clinic”. (VA Department of Health Professions, Board of Pharmacy 4/2018).
